Our family once had a beloved dog named Copper.

He lived with us for 10 years, from 2013, and last fall, he was no longer with us.

The loss was overwhelming. For a month after that, I struggled to cope with the feelings of loss and emptiness.

Copper’s absence—especially not being greeted by him when I came home from work—left a significant part of my life missing.

The memories of Copper are deeply imprinted in my mind. I remember exactly how happy he was, how he looked when he was sad.

My wife, Marry, who is very skilled at sewing and embroidery, said she would find a way to help me so that Copper could stay with me once again.
